Metallic calcium is a silver-white light metal, its main raw material limestone is widely distributed and exists in the crust.

There are two production methods of metallic calcium, one is the metal calcium produced by electrolysis, its purity is generally more than 98.5%, after further sublimation, can reach 99.5% purity. The other is the metal calcium produced by aluminothermic process, whose purity is generally about 97%. After further sublimation, the purity can be improved to a certain extent.
